Invisible Monsters Movie: Fan Concept Art
Let me re-iterate our news headline here: Fan concept art. Albeit, a very talented graphic designer of a fan named Xander Davis. But nonetheless, this is unofficial concept art. Still, it gets the juices flowing, eh?
With 'Choke' finished and hitting theaters on September 26th, the rumor mill is sure to start spinning again. This could mean a jumpstart to some stalled Palahniuk projects, such as Invisible Monsters.
So let us imagine for a second, what a teaser poster for this insane story Chuck created, would look like.
And yes, that's Jessica Biel on that poster.

I, too, have often wondered what that would look like, and BAM ! there it is.
It's definitely an amazing, unsettling picture... but I'm glad I saw it after I read the book.
There's something to be said for pure description using human language. That way your imagination can do some crazy shit.

That is stunningly beautiful. But it is too much of a reveal. Even though the fact that her jaw is missing isn't in any way part of thw twist, the visual impact of that image is not something you would give away before the beginning of the film. that reveal would need to be paced out better, somewhere around 1/3 in when you are exposition heavy and need to keep things dynamic.
Hey, imdb has Invisible Monsters as "In Production" and has a release date of September 10th, 2010. It should be in "Pre-Production" because there's no cast listed.
Well, instead of this for a poster thing, you could just use the cover of the book.

A year or two ago, sitting in a black jack table, a dude missing half his face was playing (I thought he was a cooler), it felt as if I was in a David Lynch film.

When I was picturing her with no face I didn't exactly picture her with no jaw at all. There is a lot of detail in that picture; I think I am going to throw up.
