LOBSTER CULT MAGAZINE - Jack and Phil call you for submissions!
I thought you were being facetious.
ANOTHER THING THAT I HAVE TO SAY:
Yeah, should also mention that it may vary in time for us to reply. We've managed a couple very quickly, but we don't want to reply without all three of us having read something. Dan isn't constantly in contact, and Phil and I, unbelievably, do have other things to take care of as well.
For instance, Phil has lots of ladyfriends. I have a lot of crying to get through every day. THESE THINGS TAKE TIME.

Here is an example of the author pages we want to create for those who have published a novel.
You and I should get together sometime and cry about Dave.
I submitted something. I really dig it, but if it's not right or whatever, that's okay. It makes me happy, and that's all that matters.
I impatiently await your rejection!
My apologies to Endless Mike. I'll ugh, try to be more professional in the future.
I'm gonna try to find the best one to send you guys that isn't currently being rejected by some other magazine on the off chance i win and become famous!
I was just reading through some of the initial short stories, and I thought the margins were a little wide. It seems to make the column width of the actual story content fairly narrow.
Not a huge deal, but it made it a little cumbersome to read.
He never looked at me once. It's not that he didn't make eye contact, it’s that he never even looked up at my chest or anything. I could have been his long lost brother. I could have been a beautiful naked woman and he'd have had no idea. : Tri Tip Sandwich

I agree.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

This is great! I look forward to reading future submissions. "White" <3

Sounds great... hope I have something on the shelf worth mentioning.

We've received more submissions and we're in the process of selecting some for publication.
Thanks for the encouragement, peeps, and spread the word if you can.

One minor gripe: the narrow format for the stories. They would read easier if they took up more horizontal space. Perhaps you could post a PDF or something for those of us who prefer standard formatting. Kudos on the story selections though.

What about now? How's the margin? It's about as good as I can make it at the moment.

Much much better

I'm finding the web development software I've been using very limiting. I may start the design from scratch by using a new software, but keep the same domain name and the same text, images, etc.
Let me try some things out.

OKAY. Lobster Cult Magazine is now up and running, and we have two stories up there so far, as well as three author profiles.
If you have published a novel (or are about to), let us know and we'll happily create a profile for you.

Phil,
Are you going to do some more design stuff or is this final? I actually preferred it before when there was more color going on. Everything's really gray now.
And what about an official logo? Something lobster-y.
Just a couple thoughts. I'm sure you guys are swamped with submissions right now.
I'll send you guys something soonishly. Sometimes e-mails are too hard for me to write.
I dig the layout. Please don't make it fucking look like an East Maine Lobster & Beer colorful tourist dive.

What do you know? You're a girl!
Exactly. A girl knows what a man oughta smell like.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
Six On The Dot
Guys should smell like me.
In my head, that exchange was all noir'd out, and we both had cool hats.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
Six On The Dot
You're not wearing the hat i sent you?
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

It's not final, but it's going to stay for now until I can find something a little more appropriate.
As for the logo, if someone designs me one, I'll use it!

The site looks damn cool.
So if you have or are about to publish a novel, we would love to create a special page simply to showcase it. For instance, we know that Richard Thomas, Brandon Tietz and Gordon Highland have or are about to publish a novel. We'll give a link once the homepage is ready.
What about story collections?

Man, send me a PM with your details, a picture of you and some links! I'm sorry I forgot about you!

Thank you, I worked very hard telling Phil over and over "I have no fucking clue how to do any aspect of web design", and reading/smoking all day as he worked.
The appreciation is deserved and welcome.
What Jack says is true.

did phil or dan ever read my story? Just wondering.

Awesome! Thanks.

More exciting news: We've received submissions from Catfish McDaris, who, as some of you may know, worked on a book with none other than Charles Bukowski. Though we don't publish poetry (his submitted poem is gold), his story "A Brujo in Disguise" is now up on http://lobstercult.com/page7/page13/page13.html
Check it out.

Can you put the name on my story as edward j rathke. It's the name i use for being a sophisticated author.
